Editorial

Dear readers,

The EP Intergroup on “Climate Change, Biodiversity and Sustainable Development" has entered spring with a heavy heart following the tragic attacks in Brussels, but with a very busy schedule of activities covering some of the most relevant European policies, such as circular economy, bioeconomy, forest management, biodiversity in the European Overseas, and water infrastructure.

The Intergroup organised on the 17 March a breakfast meeting within the working group on "Bioeconomy" with the participation of John Bell, Director of Bioeconomy, DG RTD to discuss how to better integrate the bioeconomy into EU policies.

Following this on 22 March the working group on "Apiculture and Bee Health" held an exchange of views of with the Commission, including Daniel Calleja Crespo, Director General, DG ENV, on the progress and challenges of bee health from the environmental, health, and agricultural perspectives.

You can in this issue find a short summary of these meetings along with the speaker presentations.

In addition, don't forget to scroll down and check out the many upcoming events in April.

Enjoy the reading!
