With summer quickly approaching the first term of 2016 officially comes to an end. The EP Intergroup on “Climate Change, Biodiversity and Sustainable Development" has thus far organised a total of 16 meetings in the European Parliament, with many more to come after the summer break!

The 5th edition of the European Bee Week was held between 13-15 June with the conference "Bees caring for Europeans. Europeans caring for Bees?", engaging stakeholders from across the EU on issues related to bee health, biodiversity, and pollination. The meeting gathered over 200 participants and welcomed HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco providing the keynote address.
After previously tackling the topic of biodiversity in food production, MEP Angélique Delahaye hosted on 22 June a debate on "The Value of Biodiversity in the Agri-Food Chain" gathering key stakeholders in the domain.
Following this on 23 June MEP Alain Cadec organised a debate on marine protected areas entitled "MPAs: Between the MSFD and the CFP – How to strike the right balance?", featuring an intervention from both DG MARE and DG ENV of the European Commission, as well as NGOs and industry representatives.
