MEP Cristina Gutierrez-Cortines is member of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and the Delegation for relations with the countries of Southeast Asia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. Member of the European Parliament since 1999, she was Minister of Education and Culture in the Murcia Regional Government from 1995 to 1999.





The “Water” Woking Group notably addresses the following issues:

  • Water quality
  • Water footprint
  • Use of natural resources
  • Hydropower energy
  • Global governance of water
  • European Water Framework Directive
