SUMMARY:Online event: A circular bioeconomy: Providing solutions to the EU Green Recovery Plan
DESCRIPTION:Tuesday 9 June 2020, 16:00-17:30, GoToWebinar\nHosted by MEP Franc Bogovič\nChair of the “Bioeconomy” Working Group\nof the European Parliament Intergroup on ‘Climate Change, Biodiversity and Sustainable Development’\nWatch the recording here  ( https://register.gotowebinar.com/recording/8331796057555337473 )\nThe bioeconomy has a pivotal role to play in the transition to a more circular, sustainable and resource-efficient society. In order to achieve food security, meet climate and renewable energy targets and accelerate progress towards achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as important elements of the EU Green deal, the bioeconomy sectors need to continue to invest and innovate from knowledge exchange and training to renewable and biobased solutions that will replace fossil-based ones. \nThe event will provide the opportunity to have an open exchange based on concrete examples with the EU institutions on the contribution of the bioeconomy to the EU Green Recovery. The provision of examples will be coupled with what are the most important policy initiatives in the Green Deal that will promote the EU bioeconomy as a solution to address many challenges that we are facing in EU. The examples provided can range from products to training and skills development.\nVenue\nOnline Event\nDocuments of the meeting\nFinal Agenda – “A circular bioeconomy: Providing solutions to the EU Green Recovery Plan” ( https://ebcd.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Final-Agenda-A-circular-bioeconomy-Providing-solutions-to-the-EU-Green-Recovery-Plan.pdf )\nWebinar report – A circular bioeconomy: Providing solutions to the EU Green Recovery Plan ( https://ebcd.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Webinar-report-A-circular-bioeconomy-Providing-solutions-to-the-EU-Green-Recovery-Plan.pdf )\n
