Dear readers,
In this edition you will find the reports of the latest meetings organised under The European Parliament Intergroup on "Climate Change, Biodiversity, and Sustainable Development" engaging this month on topics such as sustainable growth, bee health, and water management.
On the 8 March Pavel Poc Chair of the EP Intergroup on "Climate Change, Biodiversity, and Sustainable Development" in collaboration with the Club of Rome hosted the debate "A different kind of growth: Europe taking the lead?", which gathered high-level speakers including Janez Potočnik,former Commissioner, representatives from the Commission, and stakeholders in discussion on how to move towards a new sustainable economic model.
The working group on "Bee Health & Apiculture" organised a meeting in Strasbourg on 16 March to highlight the upcoming 2017 European Week of Bees and Pollinators, which will take place from 26-28 June in Brussels - Save the Date!
On the 21 March MEP Michel Dantin, Chair of the working group on "Agriculture & Water Management" hosted the debate "Sustainable Management of Water in Agriculture – Addressing pressure from agriculture to achieve the goals of the WFD" underlining how to better integrate the water and agriculture sector by welcoming stakeholders and the European Commission with representatives from both DG AGRI and DG ENV.
