This event is organised by EBCD in collaboration with EU IUU Fishing Coalition.
Illegal, unregulated and unregulated fishing undermines sustainable fisheries management, threatens marine biodiversity, and impacts the livelihoods of communities dependent on fishing.
As a global leader in environmental governance, the EU is committed to upholding sustainable practices and safeguarding marine ecosystems.
This event explores the strategies and actions the EU can employ to reinforce its commitment to eradicating IUU fishing and achieving its ‘zero-tolerance’ goal.
We will hear from various Members of Parliament, watch a video message delivered by John Kerry, the former US Secretary of State and Presidential Envoy for Climate, and have a rich panel discussion with varied voices.
See a more detailed agenda below. Looking forward to seeing you there!
