Event on Key Environmental Challenges and Opportunities of the New Legislative Term

This conference introduced and discussed the Intergroup’s 2024-2029 policy priorities and work program for the new legislative term. It provided a valuable platform to identify urgent environmental issues and discuss openly key areas of focus, including sustainable food systems, sustainable forest management, water resilience, circular economy and bioeconomy, clean energy and transport, and ocean governance.
This event was an excellent opportunity for Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), representatives from EU institutions and UN agencies, the private sector, researchers, and environmental organizations, to contribute to the Intergroup’s ongoing work, foster collaborations, promote partnerships and the role of science and innovation when addressing environmental challenges.
